  • My role within the Export Sales Dept. involves the opening and development of foreign markets, European in the first place, and non-EU once the previous ones have started. In this sense, my work is based on:
    • Develop and coordinate sales strategies and activities in the European markets;
    • Ensure the development of sales objectives and annual sales budgets (in terms of turnover targets, prices, costs),
    ensuring constant monitoring of the market and defining actions and
    the most suitable tools to achieve the objectives in line with the company policies and image;
    • Visit strategic customers directly to achieve the corporate objectives both on spontaneous initiative and upon recommendation from the sales structure;
    • Formulate offers and manage negotiations with customers;
    • Coordination and strengthening of the sales agent network where absent;
    • Contact and manage negotiations with potential customers;
    • Implement the turnover in the reference areas;
    • Monitor sales performance;
    • Verification of the level of turnover and margins, reporting it periodically to the Management and Owners;
    • Sharing my customer package with other Area Managers;
    • Management and participation in trade fairs and sector events.

Main duties and responsibilities as part of the foreign sales office of Cattelan Italia SpA, my role involves the following activities:
• Management and sales development of assigned foreign EU and non-EU markets;
• Coordination and strengthening of the network of agents and distributors;
• Coordination of the Export office divided between Customer Service and Back Office;
• Management of negotiations with main customers and maintenance of commercial relationships with distributors and agent network;
• Implementation of the turnover in the reference area also through the development of targeted actions on the sales structure and the territory;
• Monitoring of sales trends, verification of the level of turnover and margins, reporting it periodically to the Owners;
• Development of foreign markets and processing of contract offers;
• Negotiation with new contacts in the initial phase of the commercial action;
• Management and participation in trade fairs and sector events;
• Frequent travel to best fulfill the company commitment and spread the brands.

After the acquisition of the Arketipo Firenze company by Cattelan Italia SpA, which took place in 2011, my profile involves carrying out the above-listed activities for both companies, thus also involving the upholstery sector (mainly sofas ), not present in the Cattelan Italia collection, at that time.
The commercial and production systems of the two companies both remain in the two locations of origin, one in Vicenza and the other in Florence, however the commercial management is the same. The role also includes periodic visits to the Florentine headquarters, in addition to the daily commercial connection with the on-site departments.
