I feel my greatest achievements in life is my five children four of which have completed college three with masters degrees one with a bachelors.

• the staining of pre-installed fences required great care and detail to guard against the client's house obtaining any damage from the stain.

• we would meticulously tarp and tape the sides of houses patios lawn furniture to ensure absolutely no damage came to the clients personal property

• this was my primary day job usually I was off by 3:00 I would then head to civil kitchen to cook for the rest of the evening until approximately midnight

• as with all Meeks employees of that time I started as yard clean up boy. Working my way up to manager of siding and soffit for all Southwest Missouri operations approximately 27 stores

• no matter my position my main job was customer service, in this case it means loading building material for both contractors and civilians and having to be able to relate to both

• as manager of siding and soffit it was my duty to follow trends siding and soffit and order accordingly .

• my duties included maintaining the inventory and not only my lumber yard but having a working understanding of the inventory of 27 more yards

• as interm yard foreman it was my job to oversee 12 employees as well as maintain the siding and soffit inventory coordinate deliveries of materials and the storage of materials along with proper rotation when necessary

• I found this job particularly challenging in the fact that on a regular basis I was required to relate to young men half my age or more many of whom are still my friends today. This was a challenge I accepted and welcomed knowing it would make me not only a better person but a better manager.

  • I have spent most of my life as a cook/chef, I have held several different positions in my life time All containing vastly different skill sets
  • Ranging from management to customer service, warehousing and inventory to construction worker
  • The 10 year break in employment was as a stay at home father ,and boy scout leader Perhaps the most challenging and rewarding thing I've ever done Choosing not to work and staying home to be a father of five was one of the most amazing experiences of my life
  • During my 10 year as a boy scout leader I worked and earned many certificates and licenses I am a certified NRA instructor for rifle shotgun handguns black powder rifles As well as a level 3 archery instructor I'm also certified to operate and rate black powder cannons I worked for an earned an EMT license as well as a wilderness EMT license During which time I also was a founding charter member of troop 0437 of Springfield Missouri " the dirty ghetto kids" there name for them selves I served and almost every capacity for my unit from charter organization to scoutmaster this was basically a second full-time job requiring an unbelievable amount of organization and business skills I also have been pinned several times as an eagle scout mentor I've been nominated twice for district awards of merit and served on the Ozark trails museum council
