Assisted and/or conducts group education classes on normal nutrition for health promotion.
Demonstrate healthful methods of preparing foods, meal planning and budgeting for food purchasing.
Assists with preparing and implementing Nutrition Education plans and developing educational handouts to fit participant's ethnic background, language spoken, and food habits of the people of the territory.
Weighs and measures clients, both pediatric and maternal, using the current guidelines.
Identifies with perceived Nutrition education needs.
Screens clients for dietary problems using pre-established guidelines and refers all those clients to the Nutritionist.
Follows up on clients who have missed appointments.
Schedules client appointments/consultations with Breastfeeding Specialist.
Refers clients to other Supplemental agencies accordingly.
Maintains records of referrals, contacts,etc.
Assists in providing food demonstrations, and the development and duplication of literature.
Performs other related duties as required.
